FAQ

Answered from pen-line's own facts: its shelf, the weights it was drawn in, its siblings and its dates.

[ FAQ #01 ]What is the pen-line icon for?
A nib over a rule, for signing, annotating and editing a line of text. It is filed under Files in Flux Icons, drawn on the same 24×24 grid as the rest of the set. People look for it as write, edit, sign, signature, annotate, compose, draft, blog, article, post and essay, and the browser's search matches all of those.
[ FAQ #02 ]What styles does the pen-line icon come in?
All four: stroke, two-tone, duotone and fill. They are drawn from the same geometry, so swapping style never moves anything.
[ FAQ #03 ]Is there a square or circle version of pen-line?
No. pen-line is drawn as a bare glyph, and the set has no boxed variant of it.
[ FAQ #04 ]What other icons go with pen-line?
pen, pen-off, pen-sparkles, archive, bin and book, and 12 more, all shown below. The pen family is listed first, then the rest of the Files shelf, so the row under this one is the useful one even where a shelf runs long.
[ FAQ #05 ]How do I import pen-line in React?
<PenLine /> is the component, and the weight decides the module: stroke from "@flux-icons/react", two-tone from "@flux-icons/react/two-tone", duotone from "@flux-icons/react/duotone" and fill from "@flux-icons/react/fill". It takes the usual SVG props plus a size, so <PenLine size={16} /> and className="size-4" both work, and there is no provider or theme to set up.
[ FAQ #06 ]Where is the pen-line SVG?
icons/stroke/pen-line.svg, icons/two-tone/pen-line.svg, icons/duotone/pen-line.svg and icons/fill/pen-line.svg in the repository, normalised: no wrapper, no ids and no classes to strip out. The tabs above hand you the same drawing as SVG or JSX without the download, and neither needs an install.
[ FAQ #07 ]When was pen-line added to the set?
Added 17 Aug 2026, and last redrawn 16 Sept 2026. It ships in v0.1.0, so an install at that version or later has it.

Questions about the set rather than about this drawing are answered where they belong. The home page covers what the set is, how the three styles differ, why some icons come boxed and where the Figma file is; installing the set in a shadcn/ui project covers the React package, the CLI and using an icon without React. The MIT licence is stated in the footer of every page.
